public art in the old fourth ward
A public art installation at the Water Tower on the corner of Auburn and Irwin opens this Saturday, October 4. Artists, Bradley McCallum & Jacqueline Tarry, will use archival sound, video and photography from the civil rights movement to enact the radical transformation of a dormant space in the historic Martin Luther King district of Atlanta. The work, which is part of the Atlanta Celebrates Photography Festival, runs through October 25, and it looks like they are still looking for volunteers to help with the project.
